Os temas Rhythm & Blues de Fats Domino foram grandes sucessos nos Sound Systems da Jamaica durante o final dos anos 50 e inicio dos 60. Fats tinha tantos fãs jamaicanos, que o próprio Duke Reid da Trojan Sound System e fundador da Treasure Isle, convidou Fats Domino para actuar na Jamaica, o que sucedeu com regularidade e acabaram mesmo por ficar grandes amigos. Fats Domino era tão popular na ilha, que inspirou diversas versões em Blue Beat, Ska, Rocksteady e Early Reggae compostas por vários artistas como Derrick Morgan, Millie Small, The Techniques, Ewan & Jerry With The Carib Beats, The Milwaukee Coasters, Joya Landis e Count Suckle & The Rudies, The Skatalites e Toots & The Maytals.
